Wendy Ogden and her husband Dennis raised four children in the Des Moines area. She is a retired homeschooler and attorney, and she and her family are parishioners at St. Augustin Catholic Church.
Mackenzie grew up in West Des Moines, and returned to Iowa to raise her own family after a nine year hiatus. She is a founding member of St. Thomas Classical Academy. Mackenzie lives in Clive and is a parishioner at the Basilica of St. John. She works part-time operating a private practice, Integrative Psychology Services, with her husband, Dr. Kevin Kilcawley, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Theology and Spanish from Benedictine College.
Matt Dougan retired from Hy-Vee after 39 years of service in various capacities including Vice President, Procurement, Vice President, Equipment Purchasing, and Vice President, Food Manufacturing. He is a graduate of Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He and his wife, Brenda, have five children and two grandchildren and live in Ankeny. Matt also serves as Treasurer for InnerVisions HealthClinic in West Des Moines, and is also a board member of Special Olympics Iowa. Matt, Brenda, and their son, Garron are member of the Basilica of St. John Parish.
I am Fr. Christopher Anthony Pisut and I was born August 28, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa, the feast of St. Augustin. I have an older brother, Anthony and a younger sister, Gina. My parents Emery and Raymonda are deceased. I attended St. Anthony’s parish and school on the South Side. I graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1987. I am also an Eagle Scout. I graduated from Iowa State University in 1992 with a B.S. in History and a minor in religion. I graduated from the Catholic University of American (CUA) in Washington D.C. in 1998 with an M.A. in Church History. I studied for the priesthood at St. Mary of the Lake Mundelein Seminary where I received my M. Div. and an S.T.B. and was ordained in 2003. I served as parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi parish in West Des Moines from 2003-2006. I graduated from CUA in 2008 with my J.C.L. in Canon Law. I was pastor of Sacred Heart, Chariton; St. Brendan, Leon; and St. Francis, Leon from 2008-2015. I have been pastor of St. Augustin parish since 2015 and Judicial vicar of the Diocese of Des Moines since 2009. I also have served the Traditional Latin Mass community since 2022.
Bryan, his wife, and nine children live in Winterset, where he is the Director of Development for InnerVisions HealthCare, an unplanned pregnancy and STD medical clinic. Bryan also consults with non-profits, doing workshops on effective board leadership and fundraising. He graduated with a Master’s degree in theology from the International Theological Institute in Austria in June 2010, then worked for a Benedictine monastery in Italy until 2015. Among his hobbies are being outdoors with his kids, reading the great works of Western Civilization, traveling, and speaking Italian and Latin.
Lindsay, her husband John, and their four children live in Pleasant Hill. They are parishioners at the Basilica of St. John and are involved in teaching baptism preparation class, Troops of St. George, and Lindsay cantors. Lindsay runs her own personal financial education and advising business and volunteers with a couple different organizations educating and advocating for the preservation of God given natural rights and liberty. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science in biology, minor in chemistry, from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Science in microbiology (emphasis in virology) from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Purtle grew up in western Iowa, graduating from Creighton University in 1977 with a BS Chemistry degree. He subsequently went to University of Iowa College of Medicine graduating in 1981 and then completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. After residency from 1984 to 1986 he practiced in the Public Health Service at Syracuse Community Health Center. He returned to Iowa to join his father-in-law’s Internal Medicine practice and subsequently was a founding member of what is now UnityPoint Clinic and UnityPoint Health. In November 2001 he was selected to be Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of UnityPoint Des Moines. In 2021 he retired from that position though continues part-time practicing and teaching residents of UnityPoint Health in Internal Medicine at Broadlawns Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
Joe Stopulos is an employee benefits client executive and shareholder at Holmes Murphy where he has worked since 2008. He has hosted a weekly radio show and podcast for Iowa Catholic Radio called "Man Up" since 2016 and has been involved with various men's ministries as well. He serves on the board of Catholic Charities of Des Moines and the Rotary Club of Des Moines A.M., among others, and was named a "40 under 40" in Des Moines in 2015. His hobbies include playing and listening to music, working out, and chasing children. Joe lives in West Des Moines with his wife Kristin and their six children.
After growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Alison earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Notre Dame, where she also met her husband Brad. Alison taught high school chemistry until their first child was born. She then retired from teaching in a school setting in order to focus her time on raising and educating their children. Alison and Brad live in West Des Moines with their six children, four of whom attend St. Thomas Classical Academy.
